Dark Souls 3 is one of the most eagerly awaited video games of the year, and the team at Bandai Namco Entertainment is preparing a special sweepstake for all fans, which will give them a chance to get access to a special Collector's Edition of the title.

In order to be considered, players will have to check the official Facebook page of the game on April 4 at 10 AM Pacific Time to see exactly how they can enter the contest, and they will then have 24 hours to post images that prove they have completed all the tasks laid out by the company.

12 winners will be chosen by the studio, with two of them picking up Collector's Editions of Dark Souls 3 while the others get Season Pass redemption codes for the platform on which they plan to experience that title.

Dark Souls 3 is the final title in the series

From Software has said that it wants to create a video game that introduces some new ideas while also offering the very familiar experience that has captured the attention of players, with difficult fights and complex world building.

Hidetaka Miyazaki has said that this is the final installment in the series, which means that it will explore some ideas from previous statements and that his team is looking forward to then developing some new ideas.

The coming video game will feature downloadable content packs, set to debut in 2016, although no details about the kind of new challenges that will arrive have been revealed.

Dark Souls 3 is already available in Japan, and gamers can get it in the West if they want, although Bandai Namco has warned against playing what it sees as an unfinished version of the title.

The full game will be launched on Western markets on the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4, and the PC on April 12.
