The development team at From Software is apparently getting close to the reveal and delivery of a new patch for Dark Souls 3, labeled 1.04 for the PC and 1.05 on home consoles, which is set to eliminate a number of bugs associated with the game and will make changes to the core gameplay.

At the moment the patch notes are only offered in Japanese, which might be a sign that it will be initially delivered to gamers who picked up the game on that market, but a Reddit user has already translated the information offered by the two companies.

From Software is saying that questlines for some non-player characters should be easier to trigger and that the requirements associated with joining Rosaria’s Fingers are less strict.

Gamers can take a look at all the changes made to Dark Souls 3 by clicking on button at the end of this article.

The development team is not saying when it is planning to allow the new patch to go live all over the world and whether other changes might be introduced until then.

The fact that the notes mention that performance has been fine-tuned might be a sign that frame rate drops on the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 have been eliminated and that some of the crashes that still appear on the PC from time to time are also gone.

Unfortunately, gamers will not have a clear idea about the state of Dark Souls 3 until the new update is actually launched.

From Software is already working on a downloadable content pack

The studio has confirmed that it wants to offer a first DLC delivery for the experience at some point in the fall but has not offered any comment on the kind of narrative that it will tackle on the types of new gameplay concepts that might be introduced.

Publisher Bandai Namco is selling a Season Pass for Dark Souls 3 which covers two downloadable content packs, although clear dates for them have not been mentioned.

According to From Software, this is the last title they plan to create in this universe and the studio is already exploring new ideas for the future, with a new title possibly revealed before the end of the year.

Dark Souls 3 represents a great ending for the series and delivers one of the most polished combat systems the developers have ever created, delivering a stiff challenge but also plenty of ways to deal with normal enemies and bosses.
