Developer Dead Mage has just released a major update for their smash hit Children of Morta. After revealing an impressive roadmap last year, Children of Morta is now being improved and expanded with additional content.

The new update is called Setting Sun and is free for all owners of Children of Morta. The highlight of the update is the New Game+ mode, but tons of new quests and cutscenes have been added as well.

Regardless of whether or not you've finished the game, Setting Sun fully justifies jumping back into the action, especially if you're a fan of roguelite action game. This is the second free content update in the series planned for 2020, so expect more to come in the months to come.

The New Game+ mode increases the difficulty of the game, character skill point caps, and upgrades both Ben’s workshop and Margaret’s lab. Also, loads of additional lore in stunning new cutscenes and quests have been included in the update.

In fact, the game has been enriched with more than 50 new cutscenes, home events, and activities, which will strengthen the player's bond to the Bergson family and the wondrous world of Rea. Furthermore, new family-related quests have been added to the dungeons and will appear during the first playthrough as well.

One other thing important to add is that if you decide to start a New Game Plus mode, you'll keep previously unlocked characters, skill tree progress, resources, Ben’s workshop, and Book of Rea upgrades, all while playing through even more challenging content.

Last but not least, the update brings some balance changes and fixes too. No matter which version of Children of Morta you own - PC, Xbox One, PS4, or Nintendo Switch, you'll be able to download the Setting Sun update for free.
