14 DAY TRIAL // After unveiling the Speedlite 470EX-AI flash, Canon continues to build its mirrorless future with yet another flagship, the EOS M50, its first mirrorless APS-C digital camera to feature Ultra HD 4K video recording.
The EOS M50 is Canon's most advanced compact mirrorless digital camera with interchangeable lens, designed for aspiring photographers that want to capture high-quality photos and videos. It features a 24.1MP CMOS APS-C sensor with an improved Dual Pixel CMOS Autofocus system and Ultra HD 4K 24p video capabilities.
Canon's EOS M50 promises to help photographers capture amazing moments and to never miss a great shot with its fast and accurate autofocus provided by the improved Dual Pixel CMOS AF (Auto Focus), which includes up to 99 AF points when the camera is used with the Canon EF-M 15–45mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM lens.
The AF points can even be expanded up to 143 AF points with other compatible Canon lenses for its mirrorless camera system. For portrait photography, the EOS M50 features an all-new Eye Detection AF function capable of analyzing the environment before taking a picture and automatically set the focus based on subject's eyes.

EOS M50 offers ISO 100-25600 capabilities expandable to 51200
The Canon EOS M50 mirrorless camera offers great ISO capabilities from ISO 100 to 25600, which is expandable to ISO 51200. It comes with built-in OLED EVF (Electronic View Finder) that features Touch and Drag AF, allowing you to use the rear LCD screen as a touchpad for setting the focus points, and approximately 2,360,000 dots.
Under the hood, the EOS M50 camera is powered by Canon's latest DIGIC 8 image processor, which is behind camera's most important feature, the Ultra HD 4K 24p video recording. The new image processor omes with an improved Auto Lighting Optimizer function to minimize blown-out areas in your images while maintaining color and detail, as well as to smooth the transition between colors.
As expected, the EOS M50 incorporates Wi-Fi, NFC, and Bluetooth technologies to help you easily and quickly transfer photos to a PC or mobile device. It even features automatic image transfer technology that automatically transfers images and videos to compatible devices during shooting. A silent mode is also present for quiet operation.
Canon says that is brand-new EOS M50 mirrorless camera will cost $780 USD in the United States. However, you can also purchase it as a kit with the Canon EF-M 15–45mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM lens for $900 USD or as a dual-kit lens with the Canon EF-M 15–45mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM and Canon EF-M 55-200mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM lens for $1,250 USD. The camera will be available in stores starting April 2018.
