In what might be a premiere for the world of video games, the teams in charge of the Call of Duty franchise are ready to confirm that they are working on remastered versions of the classic Modern Warfare experiences by using a poop emoji.

The image was attached, alongside an emoji showing a pair of pants, to respond to a message that was delivered in 2014, basically telling the fan that they are working on the long-awaited remakes and will make a more official announcement soon.

Rumors about the existence of the remastered video games in the Modern Warfare series appeared earlier in the week, when an image of the supposed cover of the coming Infinite Warfare installment in the series was shown.

It's interesting to note that the official Call of Duty Twitter account has not talked about the new name or offered any kind of details about the moment when Activision plans to deliver the official reveal for the new first-person shooter.

Sources are claiming that a first announcement about the installment in the franchise that is set to arrive later in the year will be delivered on May 3, according to a listing associated with a retail partner.

The leaked cover also confirms that Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will be launched on November 4 of this year and will arrive on the PC, the PlayStation 4, and the Xbox One.

The series might go to the far future

The only rumor about the setting of the new Call of Duty video game says that the team at Infinity Ward is planning to explore a science fiction universe that will feature complex space battles and a between missions hub that's set on a space station.

The studio has also said that this is the most ambitious video game that it has ever worked on and that it wants to introduce a set of new ideas for the multiplayer side.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 needs to remain an attractive video game for players until the new one is revealed and launched, with Treyarch and Activision set to deliver another two major downloadable content packs that will offer four core maps and a new zombie episode each.

At the moment, the Eclipse DLC is only available on the PlayStation 4, and gamers who play the shooter on the PC and the Xbox One will have to wait until early May to get access to it.
