Video game developer Infinity Ward and publisher Activision are announcing that they are planning to introduce two new weapons for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare on September 29 on the Xbox One, with the PlayStation 4 and the PC to get them soon after.

Gamers will be able to play with the MP40, which is one of the most loved submachine guns of the franchise, and the 1911 pistol.

Neither of the weapons will be offered on the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 versions of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare because of hardware limitations.

The 1911 is the first new secondary weapon to be added to the shooter, and it has a low recoil that has solid accuracy at close and medium range.

Gamers can get four versions of the gun and they will be offered via the normal or the Advanced Supply Drops.

The MP40 is a fully automatic SMG, and the official announcement adds, "It has a steady rate of fire which can be used in bursts to maintain accuracy at distances. It’s a great weapon to use for rushing objectives like Capture the Flag or Uplink."

Four variants for it will also be delivered in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.

Call of Duty is soon getting a new Treyarch-created installment

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare was a transition title from many points of view, designed to use the power of new consoles while also satisfying gamers who are still fans of the older generation of hardware.

Infinity Ward also tweaked some of the core mechanics of the shooter, including some linked to the multiplayer, perhaps preparing the fans for the revolution that seems to arrive with Black Ops 3.

The new title is created by Treyarch and will offer a much faster and more dynamic movement system that changes how the entire combat system works.

The game also features Specialists, which come complete with a unique weapon and special ability, and the developers are also offering a wider range of customization options for characters and weapons.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is also offering a single-player campaign that's supposed to deliver more emotional moments and a new cooperative section called Shadows of Evil that allows gamers to take on undead in a noir version of the '40s.
