Gamers can refresh their memory by watching the video

The development team at Treyarch and publisher Activision are delivering a new video that prepares the fan base for the coming Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, but this time around, the focus is not on the new core mechanics or the multiplayer.

The 10-minute-long clip is focused on the narrative that gamers have already experienced in the previous two titles in the continuity and offers some more clues about the story that the next installment in the shooter will offer.

Fans see Black Ops as the more mature of the timelines that Call of Duty has explored over the years, but even for those who finished the games, some moments and events might now be unclear, which means the new video is genuinely useful.

It would have been more interesting for Treyarch and Activision to include some gameplay moments in the footage to make it more attractive, but it's still an interesting way to spend 10 minutes for the most dedicated of fans.

The two companies have promised that the story of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is designed to connect players with characters and to comment on a variety of themes, focusing on the rapid evolution of technology and its effects on humanity.

The shooter offers three distinct experiences

The single-player story has long been a selling point for the Call of Duty series, even if most gamers end up spending much more time with the multiplayer in the long term.

The new title will also give gamers an undead-focused experience, with Treyarch creating a new take on the '40s, where they can control one of four characters who are battling zombies, including some powerful bosses.

When it comes to multiplayer, the development team has been talking about the new movement system and the way it will encourage players to be more dynamic and to exploit the coming maps in interesting ways to surprise their enemies.

The game also features a new Specialist-focused system, designed to offer gamers more options when they prepare for a match.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will be out on November 6 of this year and will be available on the PC, the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One and older home consoles, although some features might be missing for them.
