Bungie, the studio behind Destiny, has recently part ways with Activision Blizzard, and the first major content for the game after the split up is coming tomorrow. Destiny 2: Shadowkeep releases for PC and consoles on October 1, but, more importantly, the game moves from Battlenet to Steam.

A big chunk of the Destiny content that's been released in the past will be available for free as Destiny 2: New Light. However, there are parts of the story that are not accessible to those who didn't purchase the Forsaken expansion, and the same goes for Year 2 raids and dungeons, as well as exotic quests.

If you have Forsaken purchased on PC, you'll be able to play everything that Bungie launched until now for free since the Forsaken Annual Pass is offered for free. Unfortunately, those who bought the Forsaken expansion on PlayStation 4 and want to play on PC via Steam, will have to buy it again if they want to access this content.

New Destiny players who just want to try out the game will be able to play Destiny 2: New Light for free, which includes hundreds of hours of content. Free roam access to all destinations and Year 1 exotic weapons and armors are available for New Light players, as well as Black Armory forges, Gambit Prime, The Menagerie, Year 1 Nightfall Strikes, Gambit, and Gambit and Crucible private matches.

As far as the story goes, three campaigns can be played for free: The Red War, Curse of Osiris, and Warmind. Shadowkeep campaign must be purchased separately.

A lot of in-game events are coming to Destiny 2: New Light such as Iron Banner, Festival of the Lost, The Dawning, Crimson Days, The Revelry, and Solstice of Heroes.

The latest chapter in the Destiny saga, Destiny 2: Shadowkeep releases for PC tomorrow, October 1, and can be purchased for €35 via Steam.
