Gearbox revealed last week, plans to celebrate Borderlands' 10th anniversary with a set of in-game events that will offer Vault Hunters more and better loot. Although we've been offered a calendar of events that will be held throughout October and a bit of November, details about these events will be revealed every week.

This week, Gearbox debuts yet another Borderlands in-game event called Rare Span Hunt, during which are enemies will spawn for sure in their designated locations and will offer more and better loot.

Although these named enemies are lurking around the many corners of the galaxy and sometimes show up on bounty boards, for the second week of Borderlands Anniversary Celebration, the Rare Spawns are about to become a lot less rare.

So, starting October 8 at 9:00 a.m. Pacific Time, the Rare Spawn Hunt will begin. Apart from the fact that the Rare Spawns are guaranteed to show up in their designated locations, they will have an increased chance to drop unique Legendary loot.

Here’s a list of all the Rare Spawns that are part of this week’s event, along with their unique Legendary drops:

Rakkman (Night Flyer, Legendary Pistol), El Dragon Jr (Unleash the Dragon, Legendary Artifact), Road Dog (Redline, Legendary Shotgun), IndoTyrant (Random Customization), Force Troopers (Random Legendary class mods), Demoskaggon (Random Legendary Shield), The Unstoppable (Band of Sytorak, Legendary Shield), Thunk & Sloth (It's Piss, Legendary Grenade Mod), Maxitrillion (The Horizon, Legendary Shotgun), Borman Nates (Psycho Stabber, Legendary Pistol), Princess Tarantella II (Hive, Legendary Rocket Launcher), Mother of Dragons (Random Legendary Artifacts), Red Jabber (Random Legendary Grenade Mod), and Urist McEnforcer (Masterwork Crossbow, Legendary Sniper Rifle).

Next week, Vault Hunters should prepare for the Show Me the Eridium! event, followed by Mayhem on Twitch!, and then Spooky Surprise! for the last week of the month.
