The Windows 10 Mobile for BLU models saga seems to be coming to an end, as the phone manufacturer has just confirmed in a mailed statement that its devices would get the new operating system despite contradictory information coming from Microsoft.

It all started last week when Microsoft pushed out Windows 10 Mobile for Windows Phone devices, placing the BLU Win HD models on the list of handsets not getting the operating system.

The shock was even higher when some Windows Phone users noticed that Microsoft’s official store was listing the devices as upgradeable to Windows 10 Mobile, despite the fact that the company clearly stated that no upgrade would be offered in this case.

Soon after the criticism starting spreading all over the world, Microsoft silently removed the Windows 10 Mobile reference from the BLU models, thus sort of confirming that no upgrade would be offered.

BLU: Some of our devices will get the upgrade to Windows 10 Mobile

But in a recent email, BLU says that some of its devices will indeed get the new operating system, no matter what Microsoft says.

According to the email posted by LovableLumia, here are the models included in the email and which are supposed to receive the upgrade or not:

Blu Win HD W510u: Update available Blu Win HD LTE X150q: Update is on pause. (bug fixes) Blu Win HD LTE X150e: Update is pending Blu Win Jr LTE X130e: Update is pending Blu Win Jr LTE X130q: Update not available Blu Win Jr: Update not available

At this point, no other statement from Microsoft is available, as it’d be interesting to hear what the company has to say in this case. It’s very clear that poor communications between the involved parties was at fault for this blunder, but in the end, users are the ones directly impacted every time such a thing happens.
