It’s hard to stand out during the crowded autumn launch season and the team at Ubisoft working on Assassin’s Creed Syndicate has decided to launch a major publicity stunt to draw attention to the open-world game, launching a bald eagle over London to bring the Eagle Vision of the title to life.

The company has launched the bird from some of the tallest buildings in the capital of the United Kingdom with a 4K camera strapped to its back, creating some of the most impressive images ever recorded of the streets and major landmarks of the city.

The attached video is pretty impressive and gives gamers a chance to contemplate the otherworldly freedom that the Assassin’s Creed series offers when it comes to city movement.

The bald eagle, named Sidney, has taken flight from the Walkie Talkie, Sushi Samba, the Globe Theater, City Hall and Trafalgar Square.

In Syndicate gamers will be able to use the Eagle Vision feature to see key features from far away and to mark and track enemies below them.

Tom Goldberger, senior public relations manager at Ubisoft, states, “We worked with a fantastic production team, vastly experienced eagle handler and highly trained eagle to ensure the project was a huge success. We’re delighted to have finally been able to bring to life one of the most iconic features in Assassin’s Creed Syndicate.”

Ubisoft is delivering a recreation of London as it was in 1868

The new Assassins Creed takes place during the Industrial Revolution and will feature to main character, Jacob and Evie, following them as they try to eliminate the Templar presence that is suffocating the city.

The London of the video game has been re-created using historical data and will allow gamers to explore some of the most well-known landmarks, including the Tower and the various bridges across the Thames.

For the first time in the history of the series, the combat system has been re-designed to allow for brawls that include more than one opponent at a time, which means gamers will have to sharpen their combat skills to survive.

The London setting also means battles can take place on top of trains and carriages and there are also more options when it comes to movement across the rooftops.

Jacob is designed to be more focused on brute force, with a skill tree that encourages players to take out powerful enemies up close and personal, while his sister Evie is a stealth character that should attack from the shadows without drawing the attention of her enemies.

Ubisoft is not offering a multiplayer mode in the coming title because it wants to make sure that the single-player campaign delivers the level of quality that the fan community is expecting.

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate will be offered on the PlayStation 4 from Sony and the Xbox One from Microsoft on October 23.

Gamers who want to play it on the PC will have to wait until November 19, with Ubisoft claiming that the delay means that no problems will affect that version of the title when it arrives.
