14 DAY TRIAL // Borderlands is not the only franchise that celebrates its anniversary with in-game events. Ubisoft has just announced that Assassin's Creed Odyssey's 1-year anniversary coming later this month will bring players epic encounters and a free mount.
Along with the 1-year anniversary announcement, Ubisoft also revealed some interesting numbers related to the game such as the total amount of hours spent by players in-game, dialogue choices made by players and so on.
But let's start with the free stuff that Assassin's Creed Odyssey players will get this month. A brand-new anniversary mount, the Melaina unicorn will be available for free for all Assassin's Creed Odyssey players in October. The mount is named after the nymph Melaina and looks rad.
Furthermore, as a special anniversary event, players can expect a new schedule for epic encounters. Those who missed their chance to take down an epic mercenary or ship and need to fill up their collections with certain legendary loot, shouldn't miss this chance. During October, Ubisoft will feature a past Mercenary or Ship each day in-game. You can find the entire calendar on the game's official website.
On top of that, the French developer has decided to “substantially” increase the Orichalcum earnings during this event, so each day, defeating an Epic Mercenary or an Epic Ship will award players with 15 Orichalcum for a total of 105 instead of the usual 40 per week.
As far as the community achievements go, Ubisoft announced that players killed more than 20 billion enemies in Assassin's Creed Odyssey since the game was launched one year ago. Also, across all players and playthrough players have cumulated a total amount of 645+ million hours of playtime.
And to wrap up the month in style, Ubisoft revealed that later in October, it will release its final title update, Patch 1.5.1, for the game, which mainly focuses on bug fixes.
