Apple has released the second beta of its upcoming iOS 13.1 and iPadOS 13.1 mobile operating system for iPhone and iPad devices to public beta testers and registered developers.

Coming one week after the release of the first beta of the iOS 13.1 and iPadOS 13.1 operating systems, the iOS 13.1 beta 2 and iPadOS 13.1 beta 2 are now available for testing both for developers and public beta testers, along with the tvOS 13 beta 9 for Apple TV devices.

If you're running last week's first beta or public beta of iOS 13.1 or iPadOS 13.1, you can now update your iPhone and iPad enrolled devices into the beta program to the second beta or public beta release. Apple TV users running the tvOS 13 operating system can now update to the beta 9 release too.

We recommend all users to update their devices as soon as possible to the new beta or public beta versions as they contain bug and security fixes to improve your iOS/iPadOS/tvOS experience. No new features will be implemented at this point as Apple is wrapping up the development cycle.

iOS 13, iPadOS 13, macOS Catalina, tvOS 13, and watchOS 6 launching later in September

With this, it appears that Apple has abandoned the beta testing of the iOS 13 and iPadOS 13 operating systems. Later this month, the tech giant will release the final versions of its long-anticipated iOS 13, iPadOS 13, macOS Catalina 10.15, tvOS 13, and watchOS 6 operating system to all supported devices.

Meanwhile, the Cupertino, California-based company will hold a new event next week on September 10th, to unveil the 2019 iPhone lineup, along with the rumoured Apple Watch Series 5 and 5th generation Apple TV. The GM (Gold Master) builds of iOS 13, iPadOS 13, macOS Catalina 10.15, tvOS 13, and watchOS 6 should be available soon.
