Apple released today the fourth beta of the upcoming iOS 13.1 and iPadOS 13.1 mobile operating systems for iPhone and iPad devices to registered developers via the Apple Developer portal and public beta testers.

Contenting the weekly release cycle, the iOS 13.1 beta 4 and iPadOS 13.1 beta 4 builds are now available to download via OTA (Over-the-Air) updates for all developers and public beta testers enrolled into the iOS/iPadOS 13 beta program or via the Apple Developer portal from the Downloads section.

These new beta versions include more bug and security fixes compared to last week's beta 3 release, which means that it is recommended for all those enrolled into the iOS/iPadOS beta testing program. The public beta 4 of iOS 13.1 and iPadOS 13.1 is available to download on enrolled devices.

iOS 13.1 and iPadOS 13.1 to be released on September 30th

The final release of the iOS 13.1 and iPadOS 13.1 operating systems will be available to general public at the end of the month, on September 30th, for all supported iPhone and iPad devices. Until then, Apple will release the iOS 13.0 and iPadOS 13.0 operating systems tomorrow, September 19th.

The iOS 13 and iPadOS 13 releases introduce major new features and improvements, including a system-wide Dark Mode, a new Reminders app, revamped Photos app, location data limits, Look Around view in Maps, Portrait Lighting adjustments, Sign in with Apple, Memoji stickers, overhauled CarPlay, and much more.

On the other hand, iOS 13.1 and iPadOS 13.1 will add features that weren't ready for the iOS 13 and iPadOS 13 releases, such as Shortcuts automations, ETA sharing in Maps, the ability to download fonts from the App Store, as well as various visual tweaks and general refinements.
