Developers can now install the new beta versions

Apple seeded today the fourth beta of its forthcoming macOS Mojave 10.14 computer operating systems to registered developers through its Apple Developer portal.

Coming two weeks after the third beta release and only six days after the revised beta 3 build, which fixed a crash with the Feedback Assistant utility that developers can use to send feedback to Apple, macOS Mojave 10.14 beta 4 (18A336e) is now available for installations via OTA (Over-the-Air) updates for all existing users.

Developers interested in downloading and installing the latest macOS Mojave 10.14 beta would have to download the macOS Developer Beta Access Utility from their Apple Developer account. After installation, they will automatically receive new beta versions as Apple publishes them on its Apple Developer portal.

Most probably, Apple released a fourth beta only for macOS Mojave because it wants to allow developers who already purchased the recently announced MacBook Pro 2018 laptops to install its upcoming operating system. However, beta software should only be installed on devices dedicated to macOS app development.

macOS Mojave 10.14 beta 4 resolves various issues that were present in the beta 3 release, but it also introduces new ones. A detailed changelog is available for registered developers in the Downloads section of their Apple Developer accounts, so make sure you read it before installing this beta.

iOS 12, watchOS 5, and tvOS 12 coming soon too

Of course, the release of macOS Mojave 10.14 beta 4 signals the incoming availability of the fourth beta of iOS 12, watchOS 5, and tvOS 12 operating systems, which should be available for testing as soon as tomorrow, July 17, 2018, followed by the third public beta of iOS 12, macOS Mojave 10.14, and tvOS 12 later this week.

We remind you that macOS Mojave beta can only be installed on MacBook Early 2015 or newer, MacBook Air Mid 2012 or newer, MacBook Pro Mid 2012 or newer, Mac mini Late 2012 or newer, iMac Late 2012 or newer, iMac Pro (2017), and Mac Pro Late 2013, Mid 2010, and Mid 2012 models with recommended Metal-capable GPUs.

Update 17/07/18: Apple release the third public beta of macOS Mojave 10.14 for public beta testing through its Apple Beta Software Program. If you're using the public beta 2 release, you can simply update via the Software Update utility in Preferences. Otherwise, check out our tutorial on how to install the macOS Mojave 10.14 public beta.
