Today, Apple challenges Apple Watch wearers with a new achievement award that they can win during the International Women's Day, which commemorates the movement for women's rights, on Thursday, March 8, 2018.

If you own an Apple Watch, you should see a new challenge in the special area on the Achievements page of the Activity app on your iPhone. It's called "International Women's Day Challenge" and it challenges you to double your Move ring on March 8.

The award consists of a new badge on your Achievements page and a few animated stickers for the iMessages app, which you'll be able to send to your friends. Also, you will celebrate women around the world on March 8 by winning this unique Apple Watch achievement.

Here's how to win the "International Women's Day Challenge" award

As stated above, to win the "International Women's Day Challenge" award you need to double your Move ring. This means that if you have a daily move goal set to let's say 450, you need to achieve a minimum of 900 on March 8 starting 12 am midnight.

So you have exactly 24 hours to double your Move ring, which, for some with higher move goals, will be quite a challenge. Basically, you'll have to do a lot of exercises on that day, especially running a lot or doing something very intense like HIIT.

If you have a very high move goal and you know you won't be able to win this award, you can set it to a lower number a day or two before the challenge takes place, on March 7 for example. Some will say it's cheating, but it really shouldn't be.

In 2018, Apple awarded Apple Watch wearers with the "Ring in the New Year Challenge" in January and "Heart Month Challenge" in February. We are hoping to see similar challenges in the coming months throughout the entire year.
