It looks like Xiaomi wants to make sure that there's enough hype around its upcoming Mi5 flagship smartphone, so in the last couple of days, it has teased some interesting facts about the device.

In case you don't remember, Xiaomi's President Lin Bin posted a few camera samples on Weibo earlier this week, which were taken with the Mi5.

Today, another Xiaomi official, VP Hugo Barra, has taken another picture with the Mi5's camera, cropped and zoomed in on the original, and posted it on Facebook.

“Spent the holidays hanging out with my folks….aaaaand playing around with the insanely AMAZING ‎Mi5 camera. I didn't even have to fiddle with manual settings or adjust anything - except turn on HDR - this is a pure SOOC shot. I've cropped and zoomed in on the original, too, just so you can see the incredible details up close,” says Barra.

We're not sure what sensor Xiaomi Mi5 is using, but rumor has it the flagship will pack a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera with OIS (optical image stabilization), laser autofocus, and dual-tone LED flash.

Hopefully, videos captured by the camera will look just as good

It would also make sense for the camera to be able to capture 4K video. It will be interesting to see what sensor Xiaomi has chosen for its flagship. It could be Samsung's ISOCELL, Sony's Exmor, or a completely different camera sensor.

Another piece of information that has already been confirmed by Xiaomi is the fact that the Mi5 won't come with a Quad HD display. Instead, the Chinese company has decided to include a full HD (1080p) screen.

Just like many other flagships to be launched in the first half of the year, Xiaomi Mi5 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, coupled with an Adreno 530 graphics processing unit.

From what we've been able to learn, Xioami Mi5 might pack 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory, but the information hasn't been confirmed yet.

For those who don't know, Xiaomi has already announced that the Mi5 will be officially unveiled at MWC 2016, in Barcelona, Spain, on February 24.
