LG G4 is one of the first smartphones to receive Android 6.0 Marshmallow update, as the South Korean company confirmed it would soft-launch the upgrade in Poland very soon.

However, the global rollout of Android 6.0 Marshmallow for LG G4 could happen much later this year, but that's still great news for those who own the smartphone.

Except Google, none of the other companies that launched Android smartphones recently is likely to release Marshmallow for any of their products this year.

Anyway, if you own the LG G4 and don't want to wait for the South Korean handset maker to push Android 6.0 Marshmallow in your country, then you're in luck since an official build has just been leaked online.

XDA forum member autoprime has just posted an Android 6.0 Marshmallow build for the international unlocked version of LG G4, model number H815. The build has been turned into flashable files for those with the TWRP custom recovery.

It's safe to roll back to Lollipop after upgrading to this build

According to the person who uploaded Android 6.0 Marshmallow for LG G4 online, this 20A build is very close to a release version.

Those who plan on installing this build on their international unlocked LG G4 versions should know that files for the system, bootloader, boot partition, and modem are available to flash in the TWRP custom recovery.

As an alternative, there's already the option to install the full KDZ file using LG's proprietary flash tool and hope for the best.

Keep in mind that if you want to roll back to Lollipop after you've tried this Marshmallow build, you can do that without any problems.

There are also a couple of things that are not working yet in this build, such as notifications which might not appear with all apps. A workaround for this issue would be to head over to Settings / Battery (energy saving) / Battery consumption / Ignore optimization.

Also, the Knock code seems to have been removed in this Marshmallow build, but the feature will most certainly return in a future build.
