14 DAY TRIAL // It seems like Amazon UK and Amazon France add to the long list of retailers that have pulled the Lumia 950 XL from sale.
We have reported recently that Amazon Germany temporarily pulled the Windows 10 Mobile phone from sales while Carphone Warehouse said the next shipment would arrive in late January.
Today, both Amazon UK and France have decided to halt sales of Lumia 950 XL for the same reason. The retailers have issued statements on their websites that say the same thing.
Apparently, customers reported that there are issues with the Lumia 950 XL inventory, the way it's being shipped by Amazon or the way it's described on the retailer's website.
“While this item is available from other Marketplace Sellers on this page, it's not currently offered by Amazon.co.uk because customers have told us there may be something wrong with our inventory of the item, the way we are dispatching it, or the way it's described here.
“We are working to resolve this as quickly as possible. In the meantime, you may still find this product available from other sellers on this page.”
The reason invoked by Amazon makes the situation more confusing
The explanation given by both retailers doesn't shed any light on the real reason why so many retailers have stopped selling the Lumia 950 XL or temporarily pulled the smartphone from shelves.
Microsoft issued its statement last week and denied rumors that Lumia 950 XL might be faulty or that it has some software issues.
Instead, the Redmond-based company claims the smartphone is not available for purchase at some retailers due to high demand.
Either way, it looks like new Lumia 950 XL shipments will be available at all these retailers by the end of the month, so the smartphone should be back on shelves in late January.
