Samsung released the Galaxy On5 and Galaxy On7 last year, and it seems that the South Korean company is working hard on bringing the next generation of these mid-range devices. Samsung Galaxy On5 (2016 edition) has just hit Zauba import listing website, which means that it won't be long until it debuts.

Samsung's Galaxy On5 (2016 edition) has been spotted on India's import and export tracking website. The listing doesn't reveal many details on the specs of the device, but it does hint at the fact that the smartphone could be launched soon.

It's worth noting that Galaxy On5 (2016 edition) carries the code name SM-G5700 whereas last year's model featured the model number SM-G550. The Galaxy On5 is expected to be a clear improvement over 2016's model, which came with the same size display of 5 inches and 720p resolution, with a 1.3GHz quad-core Exynos 3475 processor and only 8GB of storage.

Samsung Galaxy On5 and On7 (2016) should be released soon

Samsung is believed to up internal storage on this year's model, but it could keep the 8MP rear camera and 5MP on the front. The smartphone came with a 2,600mAh battery and Android 5.1 Lollipop.

The Galaxy On5 isn't the only device in the series to surface online. The Galaxy On7 (2016 edition) has also been spotted on Zauba a while back. The smartphone carried a code number SM-G610F, and rumored specs indicate that it should come with a 5.5-inch display with 1080p resolution. It should definitely have more advanced specs compared to the On5, especially a 13MP rear camera and 8MP on the front, as well as 2GB of RAM.

Last year's models came with Android 5.1 Lollipop, but the next generation is expected to run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box.

Considering that the two smartphones have just passed through Zauba, it shouldn't be long until they're released to the market.
