14 DAY TRIAL // Some of you might remember the rumors from last month that pointed to a December release of a Windows Phone handset.
Alcatel, a timid player on the US market, is supposed to launch its OneTouch Fierce XL mid-range smartphone in the country sometime in December.
The device will be aimed at Android and Windows Phone fans alike, since Alcatel will be bringing two variants of the OneTouch Fierce XL in the United States.
According to @evleaks, the handset will be launched at T-Mobile and will probably be priced similarly, but that piece of information hasn't been confirmed yet.
The first press renders of the Alcatel OneTouch Fierce XL with Windows Phone and Android platforms on board have just been leaked by the same source, which is why we believe the smartphones are real and will make their debut on the market very soon.
The two variants could be priced similarly
As many of you have probably noticed by looking at the image, there are slight differences between the two versions of the Alcatel smartphone, such as the fact that the Windows Phone variant comes with capacitive buttons and Windows logo in the middle.
The Android model has the usual touch-sensitive keys, but only the middle one is highlighted in the picture. The other two don't seem to be lit, but they are obviously present.
Moving on to specs, it appears that these versions of Alcatel OneTouch Fierce XL will come with similar hardware, which is why we believe they will be priced the same.
The OneTouch Fierce XL sports a large 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution. It will also be packed with 16GB of internal memory that can be further expanded up to 64GB via microSD cards lot.
The device will be equipped with a 1.1GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor and 2GB of RAM. It's also said to support VoLTE and other connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microUSB 2.0, and GPS with AGPS support.
Last but not least, the OneTouch Fierce XL comes with an 8-megapixel camera on the back and a 2-megapixel selfie camera. The smartphone will be powered by a 2,500mAh battery.
