LG continues to expand in the United States market where it launched a couple of low-budget and mid-range Android smartphones, and it is about to introduce its newest flagship, the LG G6.

After introducing the LG Aristo in the U.S., also known as LG K8 (2017) or LG X300, the South Korean company released yet another Android phone, the affordable LG Fortune.

Despite its name, the LG Fortune does not cost a fortune, but doesn't offer any impressive features either. In fact, this is a low-end phone aimed at first-time smartphone users or those who need a second handset.

Cricket Wireless is the only carrier in the United States to offer the LG Fortune for the moment. Customers can purchase it for just $89.99 with activation (choose from 3GB, 8GB, 12GB, unlimited rate plans).

According to Cricket, “anything is possible with the LG Fortune, the perfect choice for those looking for an affordable, feature packed smartphone from a brand they trust.” In reality, there aren't too many things that you can do with such a handset these days.

However, LG Fortune is a decent device for those who've never owned a smartphone before and want to get a taste of what it really means.

LG Fortune comes with a couple of LG distinctive features like Knock Code and QuickMemo+, which sets it apart from other budget-friendly smartphones.

Specs-wise, the Fortune is powered by a 1.1GHz quad-core processor and packs 16GB expandable storage (up to 32GB). Also, the smartphone sports a 5-inch display that supports FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) resolution.

When it comes to camera technology, the LG Fortune features a 5-megapixel camera on the back, as well as a secondary 5-megapixel selfie unit.

The phone ships with Android 6.0 Marshmallow on board and packs a 2,500 mAh battery inside. It has 4G LTE support, along with GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1 and microUSB.
