There have been a lot of rumors about the possible launch dates of some of the hottest mobile phones for the second half of the ongoing year, and now it seems that at least some of them prove to be real. No official announcements have been made so far, at least none that we know of, yet it seems that Vodafone is about to include very appealing new devices in its offering.

Sony Ericsson's Xperia X2 is one handset that stirred people's interest for quite some time now, although it was only recently that the Japanese-Swedish phone maker decided to announce it officially. Based on Microsoft's Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system, the second Xperia handset from the company is set to make an appearance on Vodafone's network starting with November this year, at least this is what the coming soon section on the operator's website shows.

The handset was already expected to come that month, yet it is only now that we learn the carrier to have it. Along with the Xperia X2, Vodafone will also launch another Sony Ericsson handset, Satio, which is the first device from the maker to boast a 12-megapixel photo snapper. Satio is expected to come in October, but it won't arrive alone, it seems.

At least four other appealing handsets will come to Vodafone's offering in October, including the HTC Tattoo, running under Android, the LG GM750, another Window phone, (October 6 is the exact date announced for this handset's launch) as well as the Nokia N97 mini and the Nokia E72, both of which, one could easily guess, run under Symbian.

Other mobile phones will also join forces with existing Vodafone devices including the Samsung Genio Touch (or Corby) and the Vodafone 533 Crystal, announced not too long ago by the wireless carrier, which are heading towards Vodafone's prepay users. No details on the pricing of the new phones, but more info should emerge in the near future, so watch this space for more updates.
