The Xbox One might finally get a release date announcement today, September 4, according to two different retailers from the UK, who've begun teasing a special reveal from Microsoft.

The Xbox One is set to appear in November but, even if it was the first console to narrow down its release period, Sony stole the thunder back at Gamescom 2013 last month when it confirmed that the PS4 was coming on November 15 in North America, and November 29 in Europe.

Now, after hearing that the Xbox One is in full production with an overclocked CPU, retailers from the UK have confirmed that there will be a release date announced for the Microsoft next-gen console today, September 4.

Both GAME and ShopTo have posted teaser messages on Twitter, urging their fans to pay close attention today about Xbox One release news.

As of yet, Microsoft's hasn't commented on the teaser statements.
