Although we're getting closer and closer to Christmas, publishers such as Atari are constantly updating the Xbox LIVE Marketplace with goodies on offer, this time under the form of new planes for you to pilot in Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation, the latest in the #1 flight action series of games for next-gen systems.

For those looking to pick up on the series starting now, you should know that in Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation, players can get in the cockpits of their favorite authentically detailed combat aircrafts and command the allied assault force of aerial, naval, and even ground combat units. More than that, you will engage in fierce combat at an unprecedented scale and intensity in multiple war zones rendered in photo-realistic detail. Ace Combat 6 also features a first for the franchise: an online game mode via Xbox Live!!

Now for the latest aircraft additions from Atari, available for purchase from 200 to 400 Microsoft Points via Xbox LIVE Marketplace:

Mirage2000-5 - SCARFACE EMBLEM - (Free) The heroes of Ace Combat 2, Scarface Squadron Aircraft.

F-22A Raptor - MOBIUS - (200 Microsoft Points) The Heroes of Ace Combat: Distant Thunder, Mobius Squadron Aircraft.

F-15E Strike Eagle - CIPHER - (200 Microsoft Points) The hero of Ace Combat: The Belkan War, Cipher's Aircraft.

F-15E Strike Eagle - PIXY - (200 Microsoft Points) Ace Combat: The Belkan War, Wingman Pixy Aircraft. Armour has been lightened to increase stability.

A-10A ThunderBolt - XMAS - (200 Microsoft Points) Holiday Aircraft. Seemingly unaffected by gravity, even during inverted flight, exceptional aerodynamic performance is achieved at the expense of this aircraft's otherwise characteristic durability. This is an A-10A of a different breed.

F-117A Night Hawk - THE IDOLMASTER YUKIHO - (400 Microsoft Points) THE IDOLMASTER, Yukiho Hagiwara Aircraft. A little on the shy side, this aircraft boasts impressive moves when trying its best. It's up to you to make this star shine!

As mentioned with the last two planes, each aircraft model features specific characteristics, so deciding which suits your gameplay style best is not going to be very difficult. All planes except the elusive F-117A Night Hawk have been priced at 200 MS Points as you can see, but 400 pts for the who's who of planes sure is a good price.
