Namco Bandai (America) has recently revealed to the press (and in a proud manner too) that the online demo of their highly-anticipated flying sim, Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation has debuted as the #1 downloadable demo on Xbox Live during Microsoft's E3: Bringing it Home Experience. The official report speaks of over half a million downloads in the game's first week, the first playable demo being a high-flying success for the game launching October 23, 2007 for the Xbox 360.

In case you didn't know, the Xbox Live downloadable Demo of Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation is available for free! And since you're probably so happy now that you're running around your living room wearing nothing but underwear, here's a little something about the game, so you know what you're downloading:

Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation takes flight action to a new level in gaming on the Xbox 360? video game and entertainment system from Microsoft. Two of the game's essential new features, the Allied Support System and Dynamic Operation System give Ace players a whole new level of control over how the enemy forces are destroyed and the way missions are completed. Also boasting crystal clear graphics, a vast "living battlefield" that will raise the intensity of the game up a notch, and a new massive online multiplayer feature that will allow up to 16 players to show off their ace skills online and around the world, Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation will be sure to blow away the competition when it hits store shelves this Holiday season.

The full version of Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation launches on October 23, 2007, for an estimated retail price of $59.99, as an Xbox 360 exclusive. Launching on the same day, the exclusive limited edition Ace Combat 6 ACE-EDGE Flightstick Bundle has been priced at around $150. Well, if you're a true fan....
