XBLA has been quite a hot topic this week, with loads of new content for popular titles being announced, new downloadable classics and so on. Today, courtesy of Xboxic.com, we learned that Xbox 360 gamers are getting 5 new stages for Alien Hominid HD. More fun is to be had then. Well, that's of course if you've enjoyed the old stages as well.

The new levels have been made available under the form of extra downloadable content, for the same Alien Hominid HD that you know. However, if you're a newcomer to the XBLA service or to the title we're currently discussing, here's a small presentation of the game, found in an official press release:

As a feisty yet adorable alien, gamers must fend off FBI agents to ensure their spaceship stays safe. With unique, hand-drawn characters and weapons, this award-winning title is the epitome of quirky humor and intergalactic fun. Sixteen levels, seven mini-games, and jump-in anytime multiplayer capability add to the cosmic mayhem.

To put everything in gamer terms, Alien Hominid HD offers the following basic features:

- Sixteen levels and seven mini-games, including "All You Can Eat" and "PDA," now with online multiplayer support - Main and Mini-games high scores are tracked on the Xbox Live Leaderboard - Multiplayer modes enable two players locally in the main game and up to four players offline or on Xbox Live in Mini-games. - Earn up to 12 Achievements and 200 Gamerscore points

I couldn't find out how much the new stages will set you back, if you decide to download them, but I'm guessing they can't be more than 150-200 Microsoft Points. Anyway, if you check with XBLA, I'm sure you'll find every information you need about the new available content. Have fun! Oh? and if you find the time, come back and share your impressions with us.
