A new teaser trailer for “X-Men: Days of Future Past” has arrived and, while it doesn’t really include never-before-seen footage, it should be tense enough to leave you begging for more, especially if you haven’t seen the trailers released so far.

The TV spot is only 30 seconds long and doesn’t bother to explain the plot because, as you can see for yourself in the video below, it’s too busy building the tension and setting up the atmosphere of the movie.

Make no mistake, “Days of Future Past” is very somber, at least by the looks of this new teaser, taking place in a future in which mutants have turned against each other and, in their desperate attempt to come out winning, have nearly destroyed the world.

Directed by Brian Synger, this particular superhero movie is one of the most anticipated releases of the year (it comes out in May) because it boasts the biggest cast of recent times, as it includes both old and young versions of all the mutants.

So, besides getting to see again the actors playing the mutants in “First Class,” the reboot to the “X-Men” franchise (James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, for instance), we will also get cameos from the stars of the original trilogy (like Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellan, Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry).

As if the cast wasn’t impressive enough, fans should also look forward to new additions to it, like “Game of Thrones” star Peter Dinklage.

“X-Men: Days of Future Past” isn’t out for another 2 months, so that means we’re still in for a treat in terms of trailers and interviews. I just hope you can stand all this anticipation and hype.
