If you live in Norway and you were keen on learning when the new Windows Phone Mango mobile platform from Microsoft might be released on shelves in the country, you will certainly be happy to learn that this might happen in about one month from now.

Dubbed Windows Phone 7.5, Mango is expected to make its official debut on the local market in Norway on September 28th, at least this is what a message from Microsoft themselves implies.

The Norwegian MSDN Flash newsletter invites developers to an event that should take place one day before the new platform flavor is released.

Unfortunately, no specific info on what the launch involves emerged for the time being, but more should emerge soon, as the first Windows Phone Mango devices for the European market are expected to be unveiled in a matter of days.

Reportedly, the said letter reads:

The day before Windows Phone 7.5 will be launched in Norway, we want to invite everyone who is working with mobile application development on any platform.

Come and listen to what’s new. Get the experience of the developers who have already developed and published apps for WP. This is a free seminar for anyone who wants to learn Windows phone development.

What remains to be seen, of course, is whether the launch will involve both the already announced software update for the existing Windows Phone devices and the new handsets that will run under Mango.

One way or the other, both new mobile phones and an OS upgrade will be available for Norwegians soon, as well as for users in other countries in Europe or elsewhere around the world.

With Mango, Microsoft is set to expand the market availability of its mobile platform to even more markets than before, and has also enhanced the access to applications and services that Windows Phone users would benefit from.
