Windows Phone 7 devices are on their way to all wireless carriers in the UK, Microsoft announced not too long ago, and some of them seem eager to have these handsets available on their networks, including O2, which already put a Windows Phone 7 'coming soon' page up on its website.

While no specific info on the handsets that would run under the platform on O2's airwaves was unveiled, the page does provide a release window for the OS, namely October, in line with what we've heard before on the matter.

The Redmond-based software giant is expected to launch the new mobile operating system officially on Monday, while the first handsets powered by it should hit shelves in Europe starting with October 21st.

Nothing was yet confirmed on this, even if Microsoft started sending out invites for Windows Phone 7 events planned for October 11th, but the coming soon page that O2 put up can be seen as further confirmation of the near availability of WP7 devices.

While we were able to access the said page on O2's website here at the time of this article, chances are that it was already pulled (WMPoweruser reports that it was already taken down, and that Google’s cache might help if so).

Here's what one ca read on the said web page at O2:

"Windows Phone 7 is designed to bring together all the things you care about most. Windows Phone 7 organizes content in information hubs, which you can access quicker and easier with a single touch.

Provided that rumors on Windows Phone 7's near launch pan out – and there are few reasons to believe they won't – we should be able to learn what devices are expected to arrive on O2's shelves as soon as Monday, so stay tuned for more on this.
