Even ahead of October 2010, Microsoft announced that it was planning to celebrate the 1 year anniversary of Windows 7 with a worldwide promotion which enables customers to buy no less than three upgrade licenses of Windows 7 Home Premium for just $149.99. Users that take advantage of the special deal offered by the Redmond company can save more than $200 by purchasing the Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade Family Pack.

While customers in the United States have been able to buy Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade Family Packs for quite some time now, since the promotion started for them early in October, it’s now the turn of users around the world to also get access to the discounts.

As of October 22nd, 2010, the software giant has been rolling out Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade Family Packs to a variety of markets around the world.

October 22nd marked the first anniversary of Windows 7 since the operating system was launched on the market.

Microsoft’s Ashley Brown enumerated “the countries where Family Pack is available (or will be in the coming weeks):

Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Korea, Kuwait, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, UK, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates.”

The advice from Microsoft is to hurry and buy the Windows 7 Home Premium Upgrade Family Pack as soon as possible.

“But, don’t wait. Windows 7 Family Pack will only be available while supplies last, so go check it out at your local retailer today,” Brown added.

As customers will be able to infer from the official label of the Windows 7 Family Pack, the three licenses contained only offer upgrade rights, which means that users need to already have running genuine versions of Windows on the machines they’re looking to upgrade.

“On Oct. 22 Windows 7 Family Pack became available outside the United States. As we noted when Family Pack was launched earlier this month in the USA, more than 94% of folks who try Windows 7 love using it,” Brown said.

“With Family Pack you can upgrade three PCs to Windows 7 Home Premium for a significant savings – which makes Windows 7 a great gift for your family or someone you love.

“And if you want to set up a home network, Windows 7 has built in features like HomeGroup that make it simple to get all of your home PCs connected and sharing files, music, photos and printers.”
