Do you consider yourself a Small Arms and Lumines Live skilled player? Do you have the nerve to go against the best players out there?

Here's your chance, as Microsoft has announced a holiday themed Xbox Live Arcade tournament. This tournament will see Lumines Live and Small Arms players go head to head, playing on the Xbox 360s. The Lumines Live tournament will take place between December 17-23, and Small Arms tournament between Dec 24-30. So, instead of enjoying a nice Christmas dinner with your family, you can play video games. Yey!

If you plan on spending the Christmas holidays in front of your Xbox 360, then go ahead and register online on the event's official website and you can win a 42 inch plasma HDTV from Hitachi. If you don't have Small Arms or Lumines Live you can get them for 800 Microsoft points, some US$ 10 converted into real money.

Small Arms is a vs fighting game and is available only on Xbox 360s. It has both single and multiplayer modes, and while in multiplayer mode you can go challenge up to four players and bots. You have 12 characters to choose from, including Mr. Truffles, Mousey Mc Nuts, Unit 51, Lord Peet, Pector El Pollo, Marky Kat, Fox Claw and Zoe.

If you don't like fighting games, you can try Lumines Live, which is a puzzle game. What is out of the ordinary about Lumines Live is that it runs in 720p and 5.1 surround sound. Quite impressive for a puzzle game. Maybe many of you think that it's outrageous to release a puzzle game for such a powerful console as the 360.
