The Nintendo Wii is a phenomenal console, as it has captured the attention of a large number of people, who have been enchanted with the motion-sensitive controls and the intuitive gameplay of a lot of titles from the big game library, which the small white Japanese console currently has.

But even though the Wiimote and the other accessories serve to offer some memorable experiences, the precision of the devices, or the lack thereof, has made a lot of people upset, as their movements haven't been recorded by the console.

However, Nintendo has aimed at fixing that with the introduction of the MotionPlus add-on for the regular Wii Remote, in order to reproduce the movements on a scale of 1:1. The peripheral was announced a long time ago, but didn't receive a concrete release date until recently, when it was revealed that it would be arriving in Japan in July, but now, Nintendo of America has announced that it will be hitting the shores of North America a full month earlier, in June.

Wii gamers across the United States and Canada will be able to enjoy realistic movements of their Wiimote starting June 8, when it will be present in stores for just 19.99 dollars. Nintendo's first title, which will support the MotionPlus add-on, though, will still be arriving in July, like it will in Japan, on July 26, and will be bundled with the MotionPlus for just 49.99 dollars.

“Wii MotionPlus represents a new evolution in video game control. The variety of fun games in Wii Sports Resort show off its incredible precision,” Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America's executive vice president of Sales & Marketing, said. “Developers around the world are busy working on new ways to incorporate Wii MotionPlus controls into inventive experiences for consumers.”

All in all, these are some very exciting news for Wii gamers, who have been eagerly anticipating the chance to experience a much more precise response from their favorite console while playing.
