Nintendo is announcing that Wii Sports Resort, the new sports mini game that comes bundled with the Wii Motion Plus add on for the Wiimote, sold 350,000 units in the first four days on sale on the Japanese market.

This result makes it the third best selling videogame put out by Nintendo when it comes to a four-day period, just behind Super Smash Bros. Brawl, which moved 816,000 copies in the same period, and Mario Kart Wii, which sold 608,000 units.

Wii Sports Resort costs 4800 Yen, which is the equivalent of about 50 dollars, in Japan, and Nintendo is mainly pushing it as being a vehicle in order to deliver the Wii Motion Plus to interested gamers.

The add on, which screws to the lower end of the Wiimote will improve the motion tracking abilities of the Wii and will allow developers to create games that better interpret natural movement. Wii Sports Resort also updates the Wii Sports concept by offering new activities than rely on natural motion, like archery.

Famitsu, the Japanese magazine that compiled the sales numbers, is saying that neither Super Smash Bros. Brawl nor Mario Kart Wii has been classed amongst the best sold Nintendo Wii games in Japan overall.

The best sold games are Wii Fit and Wii Sports, which were not bundled on that market, with more than 3 million units delivered to players. It will be interesting to see how Wii Sports Resort performs on the long term, after the early adopters of the Wii Motion Plus buy it.

Those looking for bundled Wii Motion Plus add ons can get the new Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2010 game, and other bundles are set to come with titles that make use of it.
