Electronic Arts is announcing that it plans to sell Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 for the Nintendo Wii bundled with a Motion Plus accessory in North America. The publisher is saying that this special offer will only apply for the initial stages of the videogames' release. The price of the bundle has not been announced, but it will probably be equal to that of PGA Tour 10 without the Motion Plus.

Electronic Arts is stating that the Motion Plus allows the developers to create a whole new experience for the player when he/she swings a gold club or when he/she uses a tennis racket. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 is one of the games created with the new accessory in mind by the team at EA Tiburon.

EA Sports Grand Slam Tennis, the first title tackling this sport launched by Electronic Arts, is also set to support the Motion Plus. The game has been handled by EA Canada and will arrive later in the year.

Electronic Arts might also launch a bundle promotion for that title. Peter Moore, who is the president of EA Sports, stated that “The functionality of the Wii MotionPlus will help us deliver the authentic, true-to-life sports motion that will redefine the sports experience on the Wii.”

The Wii Motion Plus add-on for the Wiimote is set to go on sale on June 8 for the price of 19.99 dollars. The accessory will attach to the Wiimote and significantly improve the motion tracking capabilities of the Nintendo Wii, one of its main selling points. Another title that will be bundled with the Motion Plus is Nintendo's own Wii Sport Resort.

The idea behind all these bundles is to get the Motion Plus to as many gamers as possible in a short while, in order to make sure that videogames requiring it have a solid potential customer base.
