Music games are very popular these days because they offer both a great experience to the player and a lot of opportunities from which to squeeze some extra profit for the companies behind them, like peripheral sales or downloadable content in the form of new tracks.

Harmonix is relentless in its pursuit of offering the biggest library of DLC titles for its Rock Band franchise as it has just announced the tracks that will arrive this week for owners of the Wii version of Rock Band 2.

Wii rockers will get a chance to experience some of the tracks that have already been released for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the game, including songs from Toby Keith, The Shins or Swedish guitarist Yngwie Malmsteen, as they will all bring some of their most popular releases to the Rock Band 2 Music Store on Nintendo's small white console.

Here are the tracks that are now available:

Toby Keith “Should’ve Been a Cowboy” Toby Keith “Beer for My Horses” Toby Keith “Who’s Your Daddy” Toby Keith “How Do You Like Me Now” Toby Keith “She’s a Hottie” Toby Keith “I Love This Bar” Yngwie Malmsteen “Red Devil” Yngwie Malmsteen “Damnation Game” Yngwie Malmsteen “Caprici di Diablo” The Shins “New Slang” Black Tide “Warriors of Time” Bullet for My Valentine " Waking the Demon”

As always, all the songs are original master recordings, ensuring a great quality for when you start rocking out to them and try to master the way in which they are played by the real musicians. All will cost 200 Wii Points or 2 dollars each. All in all, a great selection, in which a lot of rockers will find something interesting to spend their money on.
