Dell Streak 7 has just become available in UK through the electronics manufacturer’s online store.

The Wi-Fi only version of the tablet can be purchased for £299, including shipping.

Dell has yet to announce the availability of the 3G variant of the Streak 7, which hasn't been listed on the company's online store so far.

Dell Streak 7 was introduced at the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show, back in January, as a follow-up of the popular Streak 5.

The tablet runs Android 2.2 Froyo, but also features Dell's Stage UI 1.0, which was received with mixed reviews ever since it came bundled with the Streak 5.

Although there's no word of Streak 7 getting the Android 3.0 software upgrade, Dell is already rumored to be working on a 10.1-inch Honeycomb tablet, codenamed Gallo, which is expected to be announced around June.

As the name suggests, the tablet comes with a 7.0-inch WVGA capacitive touch screen with an unexpectedly low 800 x 480 pixels resolution.

Streak 7's display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass, a tough and damage resistant substance that helps protect the outer glass screen from common scratches, drops and bumps.

The device is powered by a dual-core 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor and packs 16GB of internal memory, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

Besides its 5-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and flash, Streak 7 includes a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera for convenient chats on popular services such as Qik or Skype.

Multiple connectivity features, such as Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot, USB, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP and EDR, as well built-in GPS, are also available for users.

The tablet measures 199.9 x 119.8 x 12.4 mm, weighs 453g (battery included) and is fully compatible with Adobe Flash 10.1.

Its 2780 mAh Li-Ion primary battery should provide up to 72 hours of standby time or up to 4 hours of working time.
