Rumors on the upcoming launch of a white version of HTC EVO 4G LTE at Sprint surfaced about two weeks ago, but no exact release date emerged until recently.

Once the standard gray colored EVO 4G LTE made it to the market after numerous delays, it was just a matter of time until the white version hit shelves.

In this regard, the folks over at TechnoBuffalo got their hands on a Sprint internal document, which confirms the white-themed HTC EVO 4G LTE will arrive online and stores on July 15.

According to this document, the white EVO 4G LTE will be available for $199.99 USD with a new two-year agreement or $549.99 USD outright.

Obviously, the white-flavored HTC EVO 4G LTE will be launched with the same specs sheet as the gray version, so there is nothing out of the ordinary here.

The smartphone will be powered by Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich platform, though it will be interesting to see if HTC has any plans to deliver a Jelly Bean update for the EVO 4G LTE in the future.

Aside support for LTE technology, another strong point of the phone is the powerful 1.5 GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, as well as the 8-megapixel rear camera, which features autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording.

Last but not least, HTC EVO 4G LTE boasts an incredible 4.7-inch Super IPS LCD2 capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720 x 1280 pixels) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass coating.

On a side note, the same document also reveals that Sprint plans to offer a BOGO deal to customers who want to grab an Android smartphone. It appears that Samsung Epic 4G Touch will be available on BOGO (buy one get one for free) promotion between July 15 and August 18.
