If you thought that the Galaxy S II smartphone is an appealing device, you should wait to see the white flavor of the handset made available for purchase.

It will arrive on the UK market in mid-August it seems, and should be only slightly more expensive than the original device.

The white flavor of this high-end smartphone will be released in the UK at least through one retailer in the country, namely Clove.

The company reportedly confirmed that the new device should be put for sale through its online store starting with August 15th.

Moreover, the retailer is expected to have the smartphone available for about $800 unlocked, which would be only around $30 more than the black flavor of the device.

So far, no specific info on whether the handset might arrive in the UK with hardware changes as well has emerged.

However, chances are that it could sport the same internals as the original, but might sport different software loaded on it.

The original Galaxy S II was launched with a dual-core application processor inside, with each core clocked in at 1.2GHz, and with a large 4.3-inch touchscreen display.

It also comes with 16GB of internal memory, which can be expanded via the available microSD memory card slot by up to 32GB.

Samsung Galaxy S II was also pushed to the market with WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, HSPA+ capabilities, built-in GPS receiver, 3,5mm headphone jack, USB port, and more.

The phone's 8MP photo snapper offers support for recording videos in full HD, while the camera packed on its front enables users to make video calls.

Moreover, the mobile phone is powered by Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, and offers access to applications available via the Android Market, as well as to various services from Google.

On top of that, we should also note that the handset was loaded with Samsung's TouchWiz interface, as well as with specific software from the company.
