A couple of days ago, reality star Camille Grammer obtained a temporary restraining order against her ex-boyfriend on the grounds that he beat her to a pulp in a hotel room, days after she had cancer surgery. Wendy Williams doesn’t really believe the story.

On the most recent Hot Topics segment of her show, Wendy went on the record with her opinion of the scandal, saying that she was having a very hard time believing Camille was abused and violently beaten for 40 minutes straight, as she claimed she was, but didn’t run in the hotel lobby to cry for help.

“This abuse is very, very serious and because we are women and we’re delicate, it’s very easy to run and say a man abused us and people tend to believe that. However, this story definitely needs more investigation and definitely sounds sketchy to me,” Wendy told her audience, as cited by All About the Real Housewives.

She even suggested that Camille might be running with the abuse story because she’s desperate to get attention from the media.

“I hope that you’re not playing us because you’re currently not on TV. Fame is a drug. We’re going to keep following this story but I am totally not convinced of ANY of the above,” Wendy stressed.

It seems a bit early to accuse Camille of playing the media when she is not even out of recovery from the surgery, doesn't it?
