On Thursday, a spokesperson for Tokyo Electric Power Co. announced that another leak had occurred at the Fukushima nuclear plant in Japan.

New information on the topic says that 430 liters of water that leaked from one of the nuclear facility's storage tanks had radiation readings of up to 200,000 becquerels per liter.

As NBC News explains, this means that the water was about 6,700 more radioactive than the legal limit, which is one of 30 becquerels.

Tepco officials say that, it an attempt to keep the contaminated water from leaving the nuclear facility's perimeter, they have used sandbags to create miniature dams.

However, word has it that, before workers got to arrange these sandbags around the area of the spill, some of the radioactive water had already reached the Pacific Ocean.

Hopefully, more information will soon be shared with the public.
