Comic books have been the basis for other entertainment forms to get ideas from and turn into a much more mainstream experience. The Watchmen series of graphic novels has been one of the latest to receive such a treatment, as a movie and a video game have been recently made.

Both the movie and the first episode of the video game series have gained fairly positive reviews, and are now gearing up to make even more money, as the last episode of the title and the Director's Cut edition of the film will both appear in July, this year.

Watchmen: The End is Nigh 2 will appear in a few different ways, which will please any type of gamer. First and foremost, it will appear as a download from the Xbox Live Arcade and from the PlayStation Network, as a retail release for the PC and, bundled with the first part, as a special Xbox 360 release for Microsoft's console.

But the most interesting fact regarding this video game series is that it will be bundled with the Director's Cut Blu-Ray version of the movie. This will contain, besides the motion picture, the first and second episode, alongside exclusive artwork and other features, all on two Blu-Ray discs for those who want a high-definition experience.

Watchmen: The End is Nigh 2 will follow, like the first one, the adventures of Rorschach and Nite Owl as they try to solve the case of a missing girl called Violet Greene. Players can opt to use any of the two heroes, each with his own fighting style and special abilities.

The first title offered a pretty interesting, albeit repetitive experience, which will surely entertain fans of the graphic novel series and those who want to experience more of the characters made famous in the movie. Until July, though, you might want to play the first episode once more.
