Hudson Entertainment's idea of stuffing 10 sport games onto one disc for the Wii, having seen the tremendous demand for casual play on behalf of the worldwide population, might just mean the end of Wii Sports as we know it. Games within the Deca Sports compilation include Basketball, Supercross, Figure Skating and Curling, all featuring multiplayer game modes, making them perfect for a party.

"We have seen tremendous growth in the casual sports gaming market in the last few years, and saw an opportunity that would be a perfect fit for the Nintendo Wii" said John Greiner, President and CEO of Hudson Entertainment. "With Deca Sports we wanted to offer a sports package that is unrivaled in terms of sheer number of available sports. More importantly, the game is easy to play, but offers layers of depth that even hardcore sports enthusiasts will love to play."

Hudson Entertainment has confirmed that each sport in the game uses the Wii Remote in unique yet accessible ways: with a subtle swing of the Wii Remote players can hit and spike the ball in Beach Volleyball; with a twists of the wrist players produce a wild ride down the slopes in Snowboard Cross; players have to follow the music and properly time all of their jumps and spins in order to impress the judges in Figure Skating.

What's even better is that all ten sports games support both single player and multiplayer modes as well as a training mode.

Here's the complete list of sporting events soon to be available for Wii play in Deca Sports: Beach Volleyball, Snowboard Cross, Badminton, Basketball, Curling, Figure Skating, Archery, Supercross, Soccer and Kart Racing.

Is Deca Sports going to be perfect for a party or what? Hudson says the casual compilation of sports games is set to launch exclusively to the Wii in summer 2008. Check out the screens below and stay posted for updates.
