Yes Bomberman fans, according to the official announcement the Bomberman LIVE New Year's Bash Tournament & Sweepstakes in which U.S. players will compete both for bragging rights and for prizes, includes a 1st-place prize of 100,000 Microsoft Points. Registration has begun on December 31, 2007 but don't be afraid, you still have time to sign up as registering ends at 8:59 a.m. PST on January 13, 2008.
The North American publishing arm for Hudson Soft has confirmed that the Bomberman LIVE New Year's Bash Tournament will have players dropping bombs with reckless abandon, attempting to get the most frags on the Weekly Ranked Friendly Fire Leaderboard. The leaderboard records performance in the new Friendly Fire game mode on any map.
Of ccourse, the Friendly Fire game mode is available only to those who've downloaded the Bomb-Up Pack 3 (add-on pack) for Bomberman LIVE, available now on Xbox LIVE Marketplace. Here's more on that.
"Our goal with Bomberman is to bring the fantastic gameplay to a wider fanbase." said John Greiner, President and CEO of Hudson Entertainment. The tournament, according to Hudson Entertainment begins on January 6th at 5:00 a.m. PST and ends at 8:59 a.m. PST on January 13th. All you need to do in order to enter the Bomberman LIVE New Year's Bash Sweepstakes is simply registering at the official registration page, right here.
