Earlier this week, Toshiba pulled two new members of the Encore family out of the bag, an 8-inch model and a 10-inch one.

The slates are among the first to arrive with Windows 8.1 with Bing, which is a cheaper version for manufacturers, but for the users the difference is hardly visible.

Now Toshiba has posted the first promotional video for the tablets, outlining some of the main features of the two devices (via TabletsMagazine). There’s not much of a story behind the ads, as they follow around a guy happily browsing the Internet in landscape and portrait mode.

The 8-inch Toshiba Encore 2 and 10.1-inch Toshiba Encore 2 both come equipped with an Intel Atom Z3735 processor clocked at 1.33GHz, 32GB of internal storage, microSD card reader (visible in one of the ads), two cameras, microUSB port and Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 4.0.

The only difference between the two models is that the larger one also packs in a microHDMI port (which gets a moment a fame in the video) and 2GB of RAM instead of just 1GB.

The two tablets should arrive in retail starting with July and Toshiba will sell the smaller one for around $249 / €182, while the larger one goes on retail for $299 / €218.
