Fast forward a few days, and a new video showing exactly what happened when the whale went boom made it on the Internet.

Scientists have spent countless hours reviewing the footage, and have concluded that it is authentic. Apparently, people missed Miley in the first video because the singer and her wrecking ball were moving too fast for mere mortals to be able to spot them.
Thank goodness that the mystery is now solved, and the man with the spear is cleared of all blame.
