More exciting raids

Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning is doing well, managing to get more than 750,000 subscribers in less than a month since the official launch. Most of the threads regarding the MMO, both official and unofficial, are positive and the game is shaping up to be a good challenger for World of Warcraft, the dominant MMO at the moment.

One of the issues the players reported is that the city sieges and the subsequent city raids, which are supposed to be epic undertaking only highly organized groups of players can attempt, proved to be easier than the developers had thought. On some servers, the Chaos side, taking advantage of their numerical superiority, have completed all the necessary steps in their city raiding in just one evening, even though it should have taken a few game sessions to complete this sequence and capture a capital city.

The people at Mythic Entertainment, the developers of WAR, say that they are making a couple of changes to the Fortress Lords in order to make sure that taking a capital city is hard and challenging, in a manner which is consistent with the epic setting of Warhammer Online and its universe.

Two sets of armor, the Annihilator and the Conqueror, are now buffed in order to make battling the Fortress Lords possible. The Annihilator set has a Ward, the same as the one offered by the Bloodlord set of Bastion Stair while the Conqueror set gets the Ward offered by the City Dungeon Sentinel set.

Mythic is not saying how the city guards and the Fortress Lords have been buffed, but it might be that they now have more hitpoints and are ready to provide players attempting to take a city with a challenge that is equal to the task.
