Telltale Games is sending word that it has released the first episode in its new adventure game, called Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures. The company is saying that you can get the game via digital distribution from its special site devoted to the series and also announced some new and interesting offers coming on the launch day.

Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures is set to run for exactly four episodes, which are set to come one per month until June. If you plan on getting all the episodes, you can pay just 29.95 dollars, down from the regular price of 34.95 dollars.

A demo can be downloaded from the Telltale website if you need a bit of play time to see what Wallace & Gromit is also about. Long story short: Wallace is forgetful inventor who likes cheese, and Gromit is a highly intelligent canine companion which, having no mouth, can only communicate through a wide range of expressions.

If you buy the series, you can also benefit from another special offer which gets any buyer 50% any other game available via the Telltale store. Both seasons of the Sam & Max adventures and the series featuring Strong Bad are quite well designed, with interesting puzzles and very funny dialog at times.

It's good to see that episodic gaming has really proved a unique opportunity for adventure games, which had become pretty much extinct. The fact that episodes are moderately priced, not too long, and incorporate a good amount of fun situations have helped players become interested in them again, with the successful Sam & Max moving to the Nintendo Wii after their PC adventures were well received.

We plan to play Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures and report back on the quality of the game. Stay tuned for our coverage of the game.
