It looks like Mobilicity is not the only Canadian carrier to offer a special plan for the holidays. WIND Mobile joins the list of network operators that are trying to get more subscribers with promotional plans and great phone deals.

In this regard, the carrier has just announced the availability of the “Oh Canada Plan” starting November 7.

The promotional plan is available for $29 (21 EUR) per month for the first 12 months, whereas the plan was initially valued at $45 (33 EUR) per month, which results in $192 of savings over the course of a year, WIND Mobile claims.

The “Oh Canada Plan” offers WIND Mobile subscribers Unlimited Canada-wide Calling, Unlimited Canada-wide Text and Picture Messaging, as well as Call Control Features (Caller ID, Missed Call Alerts, Call Waiting, 3 Way Calling, Call Forwarding, and Conference Calling).

In addition, the carrier will start offering the Nexus S and LG Optimus 2X Android smartphones for free on the WINDTab+.

Those who are not familiar with WIND Mobile plans should know that the new “Oh Canada Plan” promotional offer is similar to the carrier's Super Smart plan offered last summer.

However, WIND Mobile replaced the Voicemail feature from the summer promotional plan with the Unlimited Canada-wide calling option, which is now included with the “Oh Canada Plan.”

Current WIND Mobile customers who want to switch to the “Oh Canada Plan” must contact WIND Customer Care by phone and pay a one-time $30, as well as any applicable taxes at the time of the switch request.

The current promotional plan is available starting November 7 through December 31, or until the carrier announces it by notice on its site.

It is also worth mentioning that the “Oh Canada Plan” is valued at $29 per month only for the first 12 months after which the plan with get back to its original $45/month price.
