WIND Mobile, the new wireless carrier Canadian mobile phone users can choose, announced recently the launch of its services in Edmonton. The company has opened six retail locations across the city, and also plans the opening of another location in the Edmonton City Centre next month, WIND stated. According to the carrier, it already made history in Canada in December, as it is the first national wireless provider that launched its services in the country in more than a decade.

“A new day in wireless has come to Edmonton!” said Anthony Lacavera, chairman of Globalive and WIND Mobile. “We are building an entirely new wireless experience in Canada, one city at a time by listening to Canadians – to their feedback, their suggestions and their ideas.” According to the company, the WIND brand has been set up based on great responses received from Canadians who welcome a wireless revolution.
